Why I Love Shakeology

About two months ago, I was starting up TurboFire again and really wanted to add in something that would help me curb my crazy sugar cravings and just motivate me more to eat healthy.  Enter Shakeology!  Honestly, once I started drinking it I wondered why I hadn’t been drinking it all along.  This stuff is absolutely fabulous.  It is so much more than just a protein drink or a weight loss drink…it is an entire meal replacement shake that has TONS of antioxidants, probiotics, phytonutrients  PLUS NO STIMULANTS (this is huge for me, I have reactions to caffeine), NO SOY, NO FAKE SUGAR and is GLUTEN FREE!  It was like somebody made a shake that was designed for me.

You see, I have a really sensitive stomach…gosh, all through college I was pretty miserable with horrible flares of pain and it took so much of my life.  There were months that went by where I would be laid out on the couch from right after lunch until bedtime. It was horrible.  I cut out dairy, which helped, but then shortly after I got married a lot of the symptoms cleared up.  I will only get “flares” now for a day maybe once a month or so…but I am cautious about what I eat.  If I eat a lot of dairy, gluten, fake sugar or “junk”, I will get a horrible stomach ache.  Stress will cause it as well…it seems all my stress goes right to my digestive system!

So, I was a little nervous to try the Shakes.  Of course, they are made without any of the things that are my triggers, but there were so many foods and herbs listed that I was afraid I might react to one of them.  Well, I guess you could say I did react, but in a totally positive way…the shakes have helped me to have more energy throughout the day, no afternoon crashes, no stomach aches or bloating, and I really feel like it has helped curb my appetite.  There are days when I struggle to get in ENOUGH calories, which is huge for me.  Obviously, I am really pleased with the results.

How to make a delicious drink?  Well, everybody has their own way of making them…a lot of people like it thick and will mix it in the blender with a lot of ice and almond milk.  I prefer the chocolate flavor and mix mine with cold decaf coffee, almond milk and ice for a “mocha latte”.  I don’t blend it because I like it thinner, but just use the shaker cup that it comes with.

Yum…so yum in fact that every time I go to take a pic of it I realize it’s already gone. Seriously, I can never seem to remember to get a picture before I drink it all!

And here is the next recipe I’m going to try.  It’s vanilla Shakeology, almond milk, one graham cracker and honey mixed together in a blender. Oh my, how good does this sound??

If you go to pinterest, you can find tons of recipes that will make you fall in love with Shakeology.  Honestly, I drink it with just water and ice cubes, too.  It’s really good on it’s own!

If you are interested in trying out Shakeology, check out the video below and contact me.  This video shows the clinical trial results of Shakeology.  It is amazing. It has definitely been such a game changer for my health!

Take care!
